ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA – Dashen Bank, a leading private bank in Ethiopia, announced today the launch of its new safe deposit box service, offering customers a secure way to store valuable assets.
The service, equipped with modern security systems, aims to address long-standing customer requests for a secure storage solution for their precious belongings. According to Andualem Belete, Director of Treasury Management at Dashen Bank, the service is designed to cater to a diverse range of clients, including those in the mining sector.
“Dashen Bank has begun offering valuable asset deposit services to its esteemed customers, including guarantee documents, pearls, precious stones, and other valuable properties,” the bank stated in a press release.
Andualem explained that clients, particularly those involved in mining, can rent various sizes of safe deposit boxes to store items such as gold, precious minerals, passports, marriage certificates, and other valuable documents or possessions.
Both individual and institutional customers can access the service by completing the necessary prerequisites at any Dashen Bank branch or district office, after which they can finalize the process at the bank’s headquarters. Customers utilizing this service will also be issued a special identification.
Beyond providing a new service to customers, Andualem highlighted the benefits for the bank, including annual rental income and the potential to attract new clients. However, he emphasized that “the biggest thing is that Dashen Bank has been able to do its part to ensure the security of its customers’ assets.”
Known for its customer-centric services, Dashen Bank encourages customers to utilize its highly secure valuable asset deposit service. As a pioneer in introducing new digital financial services to the Ethiopian banking industry, including its SuperApp, Dashen Bank stated it plans to “introduce additional various services to its esteemed customers in the near future to meet their needs.”
