Toronto – Taye Dendea has been thrown for several weeks now after the Ethiopian government reinstated a case.
Reports indicate that Taye, who served as state minister for peace with insider information about the ruling party, knew he was going to be arrested again. Anchor Media, U.S. based Ethiopian News provider, on Monday published a recorded interview of Taye.
From the Anchor Media report, Taye had a determination to share information he had with the public before he was arrested again.
For political observers familiar to what has been happening in Ethiopia since Abiy Ahmed became prime minister some of the information he shared is rather sound conceivable. For example, the ruling party’s move to impoverish the people or entrench economic destitution as a strategy to ensure that there are no political demands is known to many.
Yet, Abiy Ahmed’s government and his team have been regularly branding their political goal as “economic prosperity” for Ethiopia. Prestige projects and projects for the tourism sector, which analysts criticize as unrealistic and infeasible, are cited as examples.
On the other hand, the government has been unleashing cruelty on Ethiopians in connection with the ongoing war in the Amhara and Oromia regions of Ethiopia.
Taye shared, among other things, his understanding and observation of Abiy Ahmed’s personality and what he is doing.

First of all, my question is did this reporter have permission to reveal the name of his source? That family man is in prison now and this report will only lead to the noose even more tightening on him. I guess this is what happens or what we end up doing to others when our main objective is to garner more ratings and exposure for our media outfit. Make more money whether others are dead or alive. It is downright shame. This man is in jail, for crying out loud!!!
