Addis Ababa, Ethiopia-Getachew Reda, former president of the Tigray Interim Administration and current Minister Advisor for East African Affairs, stated that the assertion “the TPLF and the Tigrayan people are one” is a deception employed by the party’s leadership.
He made these remarks during an extensive and critical interview with Fana Television.
He described the TPLF’s leadership as “focused solely on narrow group interests, disregarding the people’s agenda, and confusing the public by presenting their own whims as the people’s agenda. They swear by the people’s name but prioritize their own enrichment.”
“This isn’t about going out and denouncing individuals. We must all reflect on our past actions and ask ourselves what we did to prioritize the people’s agenda,” he said.
Getachew Reda asserted that the claim “the TPLF and the Tigrayan people are one” is a tool of deception used by the leadership.
He explained that the leadership employs this deception to avoid accountability for theft and other abuses committed while in positions of government power.
He stated that through this deception, the leadership attempts to portray all its actions as having the people’s consent.
“The leadership presents itself as the people’s representative, demanding their reverence, suppressing any form of public dissent, and deeply engaging in theft, while using the deception that the TPLF and the people are one to absolve themselves of responsibility,” he said.
As of this article’s publication, leaders or representatives from the TPLF have not responded to Getachew Reda’s allegations.

Getachew Reda is a liar. His claims and propaganda are not surprising given his mixed background and Amhara connection. The TPLF and Tigrayans are the same and no body can deny this fact. Tigray is now in the hands of true Tigrayans (Tegaru) and united under the leadership of its popular party and true tegaru leaders.
Oh, now you are saying that he has connection with Amhara people and he’s of a mixed background heritage even though, before all this, you people used to glorify and praise him 24/7 for his genocidal war against the Amhara and Afar people. No! he is telling the truth about TPLF and its leadership. People like you have the audacity to speak highly of the terrorist group TPLF which is responsible for the deaths of over a million Tigray youths. Probably you are one of the beneficiary of TPLF’s stashed wealth. Its game over for TPLF from now on forward. Those of you who supports TPLF are heedless people living a comfortable somewhere in Europe or North America. You are just a mouthpiece for TPLF not for the people of Tigray.
