Abdullahi Ali

From April 5, 2023, to February 6, 2025, Dayib led the SRS security office with an iron fist, turning secret houses into unofficial prisons and unlawfully detaining individuals without cause. His tenure was marked by egregious human rights violations, including enforced disappearances, psychological and physical abuse, and a total disregard for the rule of law.

Among the many victims of Dayib’s brutal tactics was an individual who was taken without explanation, blindfolded, and held captive in a hidden location for two months. No charges were presented, no trial was conducted, and their loved ones had no knowledge of their whereabouts. For two months, they lived in darkness, deprived of their basic rights, isolated from the world with no knowledge of why they were taken or what would happen to them.

When the nightmare finally ended, it was no act of justice or mercy Dayib’s forces simply taped the victim’s eyes shut once again and dumped them onto the pavement like discarded trash. The physical and psychological scars of such an ordeal do not fade easily. The cruel treatment of detainees under Dayib’s command demonstrates a total lack of humanity, a government official who wielded power without accountability.

A Legacy of Fear and Lawlessness

Dayib’s methods mirror the worst authoritarian regimes in history silencing people through fear, secrecy, and brute force. Secret prisons are illegal under national and international law, yet Dayib turned them into a weapon, using them to punish individuals without due process. His actions have left deep wounds in the community, with families torn apart and victims left traumatized, never knowing when or if they would be freed.

These crimes cannot be forgotten. Those responsible for such human rights abuses must be held accountable, and the victims must receive justice. The world must recognize Dayib for what he truly was: not a protector of security, but an architect of terror.

Justice Must Prevail

The era of secret prisons, unlawful detentions, and brutal punishments must come to an end. Investigations must be launched into Dayib’s actions, and those who suffered under his rule must be given a voice. The silence that allowed these crimes to persist must be shattered, and the individuals responsible must be exposed.

The people will not forget. And justice will not wait forever.
