Pastor Degone Moretew
In light of recent developments, I have come to realize that there is a systematic scheme orchestrated by EPLF ardent supporter Colonel Tesfasion’s son, Aman, who owns EBS. His goal appears to be fabricating hostile narratives to incite hatred between the two major ethnic groups in Ethiopia, the Amhara and Oromo.
Aman and his family have maintained close ties with successive regimes, including both the TPLF and the Prosperity Party. They have also been associated with influential figures such as Dr. Mehretab, an advisor to Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed. It is deeply disappointing that Aman has chosen to use his media platform to divert our people’s struggle by focusing on mere entertainment while frequently inviting leaders of both regimes—except in a few cases, such as the recent event at Macdoniaa Senior Home, which included some fundraising efforts.
I find it troubling that this platform has become entangled in conspiracies. However, I firmly believe that the truth will come to light in the near future. Colonel Tesfasion was an officer in the imperial Ethiopian government who secretly supported the EPLF in its struggle for the secession of Eritrea. While the autonomous rights of the Eritrean people should have been respected, the unfair referendum—where the choice was framed as either “freedom” or “slavery”—allowed Eritrean elites to dominate and control Ethiopia’s economic resources. Under the leadership of Meles Zenawi, this hegemony even extended to the exploitation of Ethiopia’s coffee exports.
The people of both Ethiopia and Eritrea have suffered due to unnecessary wars and ongoing hostilities, despite the deep historical unity and friendship between the two people . The Tigray-Tegaru nationalist movement, aimed at establishing a Tigrinya-speaking nation, was misguided. Spearheaded by Adwa-affiliated Evangelist Woldeab Woldemariam, this movement led to disastrous consequences, fueling destructive ethnic politics that continue to destabilize the entire Horn of Africa.
Now more than ever, we must be as wise as serpents and as meek as doves. Let us remain committed to the true cause of the people of both Ethiopia and Eritrea, refusing to be misled by failed policies and divisive propaganda. Instead, we must work towards a greater Horn of Africa—one free from further conflicts and bloodshed, rejecting the influence of both local and foreign malicious forces.
May God heal Ethiopia and the entire Horn of Africa.

Hey Mr. “Pastor”, how can we be “free from further conflicts and bloodshed” without first being really free from religion- and ethnic-based belligerence. See yourself, how free are you in your regard to others who are far different from you in belief and “blood”? What have those two primitive guys, Jesus and Mohammed, taught you guys? Prejudice and malice? Can one be modern without a democratic mindset?
To hell with you political/religious manipulators! all the world’s agony is your criminal creation.
