Toronto – In part two of his interview with Anchor media, Gedu Andargachew revealed that the Abiy Ahmed administration is hassling ethnic Amhara military generals in connection with the “military operation” in the region.

In addition to military generals, members of the ruling Prosperity Party from the region who used to be seen as “progressive” are now marginalized and seen with suspicion.

Remarking on the ruling party strategy to utilize militia force, Gedu remarked “this regime is not worth paying sacrifice for let alone to die for it.” Those who are siding with the regime will have the same fate ; they will be seen with suspicion.

He also shared views on the Fano struggle, its current strengths and weaknesses. He said where Fano is now in terms of military posture is promising. “Fano made the region ungovernable” and is controlling over 80 percent of the region. Groups are now coming together.

Gedu also pointed out weaknesses. He says the movement has to pick up speed as it is on the shoulder of the mass in the region that has been subjected to devastation. He emphasized on the importance of a single structure and political works.
