Toronto – The hostility between the Abiy Ahmed led Federal government and President Isaias Afeworki’s Eritrea has become open.
The latest confirmation was an Op-Ed piece former Ethiopian President Mulatu Teshome published on Aljazeera a few days ago accusing the Eritrean government of aligning with one faction of the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) to trigger another conflict. He alleged that Eritrea has intention to stir conflict in the region and that the international community has to act now to avert it.
The Eritrean government responded to the accusation just a day after Mulatu’s publication. Yemane Gebremeske, Eritrea’s Minister for Foreign Affairs, called Mulatu’s view “war mongering.”
With the developments within Tigray region of Ethiopia where the Debretsion led faction of TPLF is said to have prepared itself for another round of war, there is a fear that the two countries will go to War.
The two countries have a history of two years of bloody war which was fought between 1998 and 2000.
Dawit Yemane, Calgary based Eritrean activist, dismisses the view that another war could break out between the two countries. “The war will be in the media. Abiy Ahmed does not have the capacity to wage war. And there is no interest on the part of Eritrea to wage war,” he said. Yet, he doubts himself and remarked “Abiy might try.”

Dawit Yemane is a foreign based Eritrean regime supporter. Hence, his views, Just lije Isaias’ are delusional. He for example says ” Abiy’ doesn’t have the capacity to wage war, but there is no interest on the part of Eritrea”
1) He’s making it look like in Ethiopia it’s about Sbiy, but Eritrea decides as a leadership. This is contrary to the reality. I don’t want to defend Abiy but at least there are political parties and elections in Ethiopia. Eritreans only know Isaias Shabia soldiers.
2) It’s not like Eritrea is a military superpower. It’s a very weak state with the only power being forced conscription.
Again that doesn’t mean I support war. Africa has a lot of development to catch up.
“Strong men make PEACE. Weak men make WAR… ” , Victor Orban.
War solves nothing, brings DEATH and DESTRUCTION to innocent civilians, and makes the NATIONS involved POORER; only the BANKERS & military equipment makers prosper.
Only TALKS bring SOLUTIONS to all PROBLEMS; as shown time again in human history of ancient times to the modern day misunderstandings.
Employ your BRAIN power, not your EMOTIONS.
We are ONE people, blinded by temporary (frivolous) INTERESTS that will die out in a short time!
Be well.
This photo tells the whole story. The photo of the two men on the left shows they are fundamentally and racially different from the two on the right. The ones on the right look and are 100% blacks/Africans but the ones on the left look and 100% non-Africans with curly blonde hair whereas the hair of the ones on the right is kinky.
Hey Al-Toweel and Yemane! Don’t talk or respond to those two black dudes. Just ignore them and keep kicking them as if they were caught robbing a bank in the Old West. I’m counting on you to liberate my Oromia and Amhara neighbors. They are way below your station. You better off chillin with your cousins in the EU.
