There have been voices linking the incident to Fano, but Fano has rejected these claims

Toronto – The cruelty and barbarity of killings against civilians in Ethiopia seem to be worsening. According to social media reports, an ethnic Oromo man in Dera, North Shoa, was beheaded this week.
A video circulating on social media purportedly shows a man ranting ethnic slurs and beheading a young man who is believed to be an ethnic Oromo
Ethnic Oromo nationalists are linking the incident to Fano forces, but the incident has not been independently verified.
A Fano leader dismissed the incident as the work of the ruling Abiy Ahmed government and called for “an independent international investigation.”
“We condemn the shameful act against our Oromo brothers in the Oromia region, North Shoa,” reads the title of the statement shared by Asres Mare Damtie, head of the political division of Fano forces in Gojjam, on his social media page.
The statement also pointed fingers at Abiy Ahmed’s administration in connection with the incident.
It stated, “The regime, when it fails to win the war it opened, has shown us how it tries to make it appear as if one group kills another, when it kills civilians, including burning them alive.”
Furthermore, Fano called on other Ethiopians to understand what it calls the regime’s plots and to condemn the incident, urging them to struggle against a government bent on instigating conflict between ethnic groups.
The Oromo Liberation Army (OLA), a militant group operating extensively in the Oromia region and linked to numerous civilian killings, released a statement on its social media page Wednesday. The statement made claims about a “relentless attack” against ethnic Oromos in Dera, North Shoa.
Without specifically referring to the horrific incident in Dera, it stated:
“Whether these ground offensives are being carried out by Abiy’s forces masquerading as Amhara militias to instigate horizontal conflict or by forces officially affiliated with the armed group in the Amhara region is still under investigation. We are committed to uncovering the truth and ensuring that those responsible for these heinous actions are held accountable for their crimes.”
From multiple reports since the outbreak of the war between the Ethiopian government and Fano forces, there is no evidence of Fano’s involvement in barbaric killings of civilians. Instead, video footage purportedly showing captured government forces has demonstrated the dignified handling of battlefield captives.
Ethnic Amhara activists are already sharing what appears to be an analysis of the horrifying incident in Dera. However, this analysis is based on speculation. Some believe that the incident may have been staged to tarnish Fano’s image and to distract from the multiple barbaric attacks against ethnic Amharas in the Oromia region of Ethiopia over the past six years.
The federal or Oromia regional governments have not remarked on the latest horrific killing in Dear.
A Muslim religious leader and his entire family were killed the same town – earlier this month.

From what I hear is such satanic crimes against innocent civilian lives is not rare. It is a daily occurrence both in Oromia and Amhara. Civilians are caught in the crossfire of bloody conflicts between the thugs roaming the countryside and ruthless and lawless government forces. Farms are unattended and hence going fallow. Schools, clinics and hospitals are shuttered in many rural areas in both regions that millions of children are staying at home. Patients are left to suffer and die for lack of basic healthcare facilities. Malaria, cholera and other diseases are raging in many localities. As I said before, I am holding all sides responsible for this. It is nothing but mass murder.
We have heard today that the ICC at The Hague has issued arrest warrants for those it held responsible for what is going in Gaza. It is now the time the same court to turn its attention to the mass murder that has been taking place in Ethiopia since 2018. It should issue arrest wants for the leaders of all fighting factions in Ethiopia. Those guys have stopped heeding to reasons. They must be held accountable and face justice. Damn, damn, damn, damn, damn niggers!!!!!!
