Toronto – Fight between rival Eritrean groups in the Middle East and Europe does not seem to be ending. In the latest string of incidents, a brawl between Eritreans that support Eritrean gov’t and those who oppose it left two dead and five others injured in Tel Aviv on Saturday morning.  The incident happened near Central Bus Station.

According to The  Times Of Israel, which cited police, the pro-government and anti-government forces were throwing rocks at one another. They also used sticks and spikes. It took the intervention of the police force from the city to break up the fight.

“Medics said paramedics who arrived at the location of the fight near the Central Bus Station found two men in their 30s badly beaten, unconscious and not breathing. Resuscitation was unsuccessful and their deaths were pronounced at the scene,” The Times of Israel reported.

Those wounded were taken to hospital and the conditions of two of them are said to be serious.  Two have sustained non-life threatening injuries and one person injury is reported to be a light injury.

Last month, there was a similar incident in Tel Aviv which left one person dead and one injured.

According to The Times of Israel report,  Minister Itamar Ben Gvir,  National Security Minister, held a conversation with police following the deadly incident on Saturday. And there is a consensus to “demand that the state prosecutor, attorney general and justice and interior ministries act ‘to deport the Eritreans, following the request submitted a year ago and the discussion held with the prime minister’.”

The intermittent fight between the rival Eritrean groups in Europe, the Middle East and North America has been going on for a few years now.

While the group that is against President Isaias Afeworki’s government – they call themselves as Bridade nehamdu – accuse it of “dictatorship” , those who are supporting the government argue that the group that is against the Eritrean government is mostly from the Tigray region of Ethiopia.

There was a recent report that Eritrean opposition groups  held meetings in Ethiopia and are organizing themselves against the Eritrean government. Abiy Ahmed’s administration is said to be behind it.

  1. It is really sad because violence has been the only choice to resolve disputes among us Horn of Africans. May the deceased rest in eternal peace!!!

I highly suggest to all of us from Ethiopia to refrain from meddling into the internal affairs of our dear neighbors in Eritrea and they should also do the same. We instead should opt to live in peace and harmony with each other wherein one availing what it has to its neighbors and its neighbors doing the same in return. Enough with foolish long held sense of settling scores. That region has everything needed to develop, advance and prosper. It has untapped natural resources and a young population. All it needs are peace and stability which are first and foremost. With peace and stability, full throttle industrialization will be possible. With an all out industrialization, the middle class will outsize other classes and that means the days of ruling malfeasance will come to an abrupt end. That is how you do it. Insha’Allah!!!

  2. I have bad, really bad news for all of you bigots and connivers in LA, Minnesota, Tennessee, Oslo and Down Under. It has nothing to do with how these marauders behaved aboard the plane of the best airline in Africa and one of the best in the world. But what I’m gonna tell you is about the latest from the GERD dam. Its third turbine has started generating electricity and it has a 400MW capacity. That brings the total generation of 1,550MW now as we speak. That fire spitting patriot Obbo Seleshi bin Bekele, PhD has just announced that 5,150MW of electricity will be generated soon. Okay bigots! You see that lake near you? Go and jump in it and don’t even think about coming up! It is better for you than licking the boots of el-Sisi!!!

  3. Let them fight everywhere they go; they fight over a stolen country they got due to Evil Meles Zenawi *** Article 39*** Ignorance plus stupidity

He gave away everything without Ethiopians involved in the divorce process. He thought Tigray will be a country at some point and he will claim Red sea. TENKOL and now DEAD

Let them fight until that day comes and we restore what belongs to Ethiopia!

Ukraine is a good example here; They became a country 30 years ago now losing everything…..

Horn of Africa will settle when mama Ethiopia recover from all local idiots. Lerasua atansem… Thanks to our King Dr Abiy, Ethiopia is recovering faster than expected, I can’t wait until our navy start exploring Red sea. We will be chocking all enemies that has contributed to Ethiopia’s local affairs for so long.
