Toronto – The Ethiopian Airlines on Thursday announced that incoming flights have been diverted to alternative airports. In a brief statement it announced on Thursday, it said the fog started around 3: 00 a.m. in the morning.
The full update is as follows :
“We would like to inform our valued customers that due to extremely foggy weather at Addis Ababa Bole International Airport today, August 22, 2024, starting at around 3:00am, most of Ethiopian Airlines’ incoming flights could not land at Bole Airport, and have been forced to divert to their respective alternate airports.
This has also affected both the domestic and international morning departing flights. We are taking all the necessary actions to mitigate the disruptions on the travel plans of our passengers. As always, the safety of our passengers is our priority.
We sincerely apologize to our passengers for all the inconveniences they have encountered.
