Getachew Reda explains the “power struggle” within the TPLF

Toronto – It is now official that two factions within the Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) parted ways although the two factions continue to point finger on one another for the development within the Party.

In his latest interview with Tigray TV, Getachew Reda was asked if the matter has something to do with power struggle. He said that it could be essentially described as a power struggle and gave a context to it.

The struggle is between, as he puts it, those who want to maintain the status quo and those “of us who wanted some kind of tweaking.”

He also accused TPLF of not seeing itself as a partner in the transition process in the region but also as a exclusive owner of it.
