Toronto – Fano forces have reportedly killed a senior Military Commander in the Gojjam, Amhara region of Ethiopia.
The general, who is identified by some Ethiopian news outlets as Gadissa Diro, was reportedly killed in what Fano combatants called “Special operation.” The Ethiopian Defense Force did not remark about it.
There has been intense fighting in the past three days in many parts of the Amhara region in response to the killing of Wubante Abate, a top Fano leader in South Gondar who was reportedly killed earlier this week.
The Defense Force has been claiming a major victory in the Amhara region against Fano forces this week. On the other hand, video footages circulating on social media purportedly show newly captured Ethiopian government forces in Gojjam and Gondar following Fano’s “Zemecha Wubante” operation
