ADDIS ABABA – (BORKENA) – The opposition Enat Party has called for an immediate stop to the placement test the Addis Ababa City Administration is said to give to the civil servants who are serving from top down to the Woreda levels of the Administration. The Party denounced in a statement it released here yesterday saying that the assessment or placement examination would be utilized to expel the workers from their respective positions.
The party expressed concern that the test and evaluation “is a strategy deliberately utilized to remove the workers who are not favoured by the City Administration”.
The party stated in its statement that the examination was suspended following the dissemination of answers in schools.
Enat Party has also requested the City Administration to immediately remove the new requirement that compels employees to fill up in a newly set form about their ethnic identity.
Enat Party called upon the workers of the City Administration to fight back peacefully the placement exam, the classification or segregation of employees on their ethnicity or identity.
