EPRP Says It Could Withdraw From the Federal Election 

It would have been very helpful if the questions and her answers are subtitled in English so we all understand what she was saying. English, please!,!

To see one of our daughters leading a political should be considered just a start of takeover of all political parties by our naturally gifted with political ingenuity and acumen strategy. It worries me a lot that she may be the only woman at the top echelon of the party surrounded by incurable misogynists. If they see her succeeding they may hatch every dirty trick to discredit and present her as unqualified.

I copy my previous comment I posted under another article calling for a nationwide protest by our daughter’s party.
If this call for a nationwide public protest materializes and citizens lost their lives or severely injured. I will be holding both the regime and those who call for the demonstrations equally responsible. Certain opposition parties such as the EPRP do not seem to abandon their decades old fantasy to be rulers by way of urban insurrection as prescribed by their idol Lenin. You can hear them moaning and in a way bragging about the May Day massacre in Addis/Finfinnee in the late 1970’s. At that time they egged and urged the young including underage children to go out in the streets to protest knowing for fact that the bloodthirsty Mengistu would use his machine guns and he just did that to the last shell in the clips mowing down hundreds to death. But others like the EPLF had instructed Eritrean to stay at home and they did just that saving their lives to see another day. This was told by the former members of the then opposition parties.

But there are some out there who still fantasize and glorify that deadly mistake. There should not be additional proof that the current regime would kill when threatened. There is a mountain of evidence about that. So why call for demonstrations knowing for fact that the thugs embedded in the regimes security outfit would kill? Why? That would be because it is just in individuals’ fantasies. Urban insurrection will not work in the old country. Ask those who tried that in the years 2020-2021 following the assassination of Hachalu and now live at missionary shelters. Ask them. Their fantasy of becoming leaders of a new ethnic-exclusive republic has become just an illusion as The Wiz of Oz. ‘Ethiopia, out of Oromia! Ethiopia out of Oromia!’ That Barentu Taytu, that Gobena, that Dinegde, that Garasu, that Jagama and the rest of other fellow patriots would turn in their grave saying ‘Does this person realize how he is embarrassing and making a fool of himself for saying that?’. I guess sometimes what matters is not which ivy college you went to but it is how you talk when you come back. What a waste of resources!!!

It is disturbing to hear that your party is calling for citizens to go in the streets to demonstrate throughout the country knowing for fact that such protest gatherings could turn violent on a dime costing human lives and destruction of property. The men around you know that very well. They want to relive the May Day debacle of the late 1970’s the resulted in the deaths of more than 300 of young people including the underage. The former men leaders of your party hoped to instigate an ‘urban insurrection’ as prescribed by their idol Lenin which was actually a coup de eta in 1917, But it ended up being another massacre. Please do not let that happen again. If the men around insist on that, do not be part of it. It seems you are surrounded by men who act like confused philosophers. Their predecessors used to seem confused in what they were preaching in the 1970’s. On Sundays they used to urge the citizens to go on in the streets and demonstrate. Then the next day on Monday they preached about going into the countryside, wage a ‘protracted’ armed struggle. surround cities and establish ‘peoples republic’ Mao’s style. None of that had worked for them. After the demise of hundreds of thousands of young men and women, the surviving few ended up seeking refuge overseas.
Don’t be a part of another sad saga in the offing with this reckless call.
