Toronto – In an interview with Addis Maleda, Gebru Asrat, former TPLF executive and Tigray region president, shares a very critical view of Shaebia, as he calls them.
He is referring to the former Eritrean People’s Liberation Front (EPLF) , currently People’s Front for Democracy and Justice (PFDJ).
“I have no problem that they want to make Eritrea like Singapore. The problem is they want to achieve that at the expense of others,” he says. He accuses Eritrea of “looting others.”
Gebru also remarked about access to the Red Sea issue. Primarily he criticized the defunct Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) in connection with the loss of Ethiopia’s access to the sea.
He also discussed the crisis in Ethiopia – including the Tigray region – among many other things – and how that is posing a threat to the country.
Without specifying it, he asserts that the problem can only be solved politically. He thinks of a serious political measure.
