Toronto –  Ethiopian government  relentlessly carry on drone strikes in the Amhara region of Ethiopia.  The latest news of the strike came from Gondar.

According to Ethiopian Media Service (EMS) – at least 50 civilians are dead and injured after the defense force carried out a strike in the Belesa area of central Gondar. The incident occurred on Friday morning. Different locations were targeted in the attack.

Another strike near Abraha Jira – further north- has killed 10 civilians.

No further information is available about both incidents. The government did not remark about it at the time of this writing.

Over the past two weeks, over 100 civilians have reportedly been killed in the Gojjam area of the Amhara region in a combination of drone strike and extrajudicial killings.

In a news report published on Friday,  BBC Amharic said it has confirmed drone strikes and civilian killings from residents in Gojjam. Rights organizations in Ethiopia report that they have received the report and will investigate it.
