The controversial military general, known for his experience in guerrilla fighting and as a former commander of the national army and Amhara special forces, has reportedly joined the Fano forces in their fight for Amhara freedom and equality against the looming danger of genocide and ethnic cleansing.

Since the Oromo elites took power from the TPLF-led EPRDF, the targeting of ethnic Amhara and sidelining of the Amharic-speaking community in Ethiopia has increased. General Tefera Mamo officially protested against this and the subversive activities of the current prime minister, which led to his dismissal from his commanding position and denial of medical attention.

Now that he has joined the Fano forces, General Tefera will play a significant role in bridging the leadership gap and elevating the struggle to a new level. With his extensive experience and many of the Fano forces being former members of the Amhara special force disbanded by the prime minister, he will have a loyal following.

Furthermore, General Tefera is well-respected within the Amhara community, which will further strengthen the military base of the Fano forces and attract new recruits. His presence is seen as a boon to the Fano struggle, and it is believed that other sidelined high-ranking military officials may also join forces, potentially leading to fractures within the army.

Additionally, if the government decides to negotiate with the Fano forces, the presence of General Tefera Mamo, a seasoned military leader with a background in commanding forces, would add significant credibility to their cause. Therefore, the government’s typical excuse of Fano lacking a prominent leader would no longer hold weight.

General Tefera Mamo is neither a magical nor mythological figure capable of destroying all ENDF thanks and drones with highland bottles or even with any other military gadget.

In a struggle against a well-equipped, organized national army headed by multiple military experts, having one general on your side will not be enough to make a single stride forward. You are fidgeting only to justify the slaughter of innocent, naive, and inexperienced Amhara peasants motivated by emotion and war songs. You should come to the table and solve your concerns around the table. The massacres, displacements, deaths, and suffering of children, women, and elderly people due to hunger cannot be overlooked. Please stop your propaganda. PLease stop your awful and awkward battle cry and war chant. Upon reading your article, readers could be tempted to accept that General Tefera Mamo is one of the Greek mythical creatures who could destroy the Ethiopian Army in one breath after shaking the ginat mountains and draining the rivers. Not just one generation, but several generals supported and led Tigrayan fighters. They were unable to advance much further and reach their coveted destination because drones and sophisticated military equipment brought from Turkey and the UAE trivialized their expertise and endeavors.
This is not an extract from a declassified document but a widely known bitter truth. You, Genocider, were a pain in the neck supporting Abiy Ahmed at that time.

It is essential that you stop warmongering rehetorics and practices so that innocent children and the rest of our fellow Ethiopians can find respite, relief, and the opportunity to breathe and enjoy the peace that they have been denied as a result of the war you ignited for the sake of expanding land and grabbing power.

    • The Amhara armed struggle will continue until we have our full rights in every part of this country, until displacement, mass killings, institutional discrimination and targeted thefts stop, until the targeted sterilization that led to Amhara total fertility rate being the lowest in Africa stops, until the crimes against Amharas for the last 40 years are investigated independently and put down in history, until the entire political system is remade. The fed gov/Tigrays (I can tell you are one btw)/Oromos/collaborationist Amharas etc cannot stop this movement. It’s the genuine and supported by the people. It will only continue to grow among our millions of people in the country and abroad.
