Ethiopian Foreign Affairs Ministry disclosed on Thursday that fifth round of prospective career diplomats who completed military training have completed their training.
These 70 future diplomats have been taking the training at Major Hayelom Araya military academy.
State Minister in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Hirut Zemene, attended the graduation ceremony. She said that the training was intended to make the prospective diplomats develop physical and psychological readiness. It was also relevant from the point of view of developing patriotism, determination, and ethical behavior, she added.
She has also praised the work of the military academy and partnership with her department. “The training that the military academy is offering will have an immense impact in terms of advancing the national interest of our country,” Hirut is cited as saying the news update from the Office of the Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The trainees on their part said that their time in the military training academy was good. They said they have learned the important skills of working together for the unity of the country.
