Dr. Arvid Hogganvik, his sisters fondly talk about their childhood in Debre Tabor on the Ethiopian New Year (Full interview)

Dr. Arvid Hogganvik ( who is a medical doctor by profession) and his two sisters – Christel Meysaim ( who is a teacher by profession) , and Veselmaay Hogganvik ( also a teacher) were born in Debre Tabor, in South Gonder, in North-Western Ethiopia.

On the occasion of Ethiopian New Year, which they celebrated in Norway – their parents’ native country – they fondly talk about their childhood in Debre Tabor, their Ethiopian memory including culture, social relations, and whatnot.

Asked as to what is his favorite Ethiopian food, Dr. Arvid said he likes Kategna.
