Ethiopian President Sahlework Zewde is traveling to Canada over the weekend, reported state-affiliated Fana Broadcasting Corporation (FBC)
The purpose of her travel is to attend Women Deliver 2019, a Global conference, which will take place in Vancouver, British Columbia, between June 3 and June 6.
The conference is considered as the world’s biggest stage for gender equality. As well, the conference focuses on health, rights, and wellbeing of girls and women.
She is reportedly scheduled to speak during the conference. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and his wife, Sophie, will be attending the conference, according to information on the organizer’s website.
Sahlework has plans to meet with Ethiopians and Ethiopians-Canadians in Vancouver area on the sidelines of the conference, as per Fana Broadcasting report.
