Prime Minister Abiy Amed left for China today to attend Beijing Summit Forum on China-African cooperation which will start this Monday. It is organized every three years.
Presidents of South Sudan, Botswana, and Nigeria, among others, are in China for the summit.
Ethiopian Abiy Ahmed is also expected to meet China’s president Xi Jinping to discuss bilateral relations between the two countries.
According to some sources, China was the leading FDI investor country in Ethiopia and China’s investment in Ethiopia surpasses any of its investment in the 19 Specialized Economic (SEZ) Zones in Africa.
