Kassa Kebede, who served in different capacities under colonel Mengistu Hailemariam’s government, left Ethiopia just two days before Tigray People’s Liberation Front (TPLF) took control of Addis Ababa on May 20,1991.
He returned to Ethiopia at the end of last month after 27 years. In Ethiopia, he had the opportunity to meet with new Ethiopian prime minister,Abiy Ahmed, and Deputy prime minister, Demeke Mekonnen, among others. In an interview with ESAT’s Sisay Agena, he reflects on his observation in the country and others issues.
