ADDIS ABABA – (BORKENA) Although the regional and federal governments have recently claimed that relative peace has been restored in the Amhara Region, residents of Berehet Wereda in the North Showa Zone of the region are voicing concerns about worsening security issues and significant damage being incurred, according to sources.

Residents who spoke with the Voice of America, Amharic Service, revealed that the security situation in the area has continued to deteriorate. Meanwhile, government sources insist that the security situation has improved due to various measures taken in the region. These same sources point to regulations, such as the easing of curfew restrictions, as signs of improved security in the region. The Department of the State of Emergency announced last Sunday that relative peace has been established throughout the region.

The Department of the State of Emergency has reported that curfew restrictions have been eased in some towns in the region, including Gondar, Debre-Birhan, and Bahir-Dar. The next phase of restrictions will be announced by Zonal command posts, according to the statement.

Contrary to the statements made by the Regional and Federal Governments, residents of Berehet Wereda in the North Showa Zone informed the Voice of America that the security situation has worsened due to the escalation of conflict between Fano militants and federal security forces.

Residents of Berehet Town have raised concerns about a significant explosion that occurred on October 16, 2023, in Meteh-Bila Town of Berehet Wereda, which they suspect could have been a drone attack. The attack resulted in loss of life and damage, according to the town’s residents. The government has not yet confirmed or refuted these claims, as per the news source.

A health expert working at a health center in the town confirmed to Voice of America that five individuals who arrived at the health center with “severe blast” injuries have tragically passed away. However, residents believe the actual number of casualties may be much higher.

a). How could you have “Progress” and “Worsening Security” at the same time?

    b. Let us SADLY admit that the ancient liberated country in the World, the glorious BLACK AFRICAN COUNTRY
ETHIOPIA, is deep in internal problem that can drag it to oblivion.

c.) When it is through, with its own destruction, it.will GLORIFY itself as the greatest self anointed gracious pieces and bits
of dirts, sands, and other pieces ……..

    ————— Good Bye, Ethiopia——————–
