7.4 kilograms of Cocaine is seized in the Ethiopian capital Addis Ababa, the Ministry of Revenue disclosed on Thursday, as reported by Fana Broadcasting Corporation (FBC).
It was seized at Bole International Airport passenger’s terminal on Wednesday and is estimated to be worth nearly 28.4 million Ethiopians birr.
The sourced added that intelligence units of the Ministry of Revenue and Ethiopia’s national intelligence teamed up to capture the suspect who is identified as Momzamo Gladius.
The suspect was on her way to India from South Africa via Ethiopia.
In a related development, a woman from Azerbaijan, identified by Ethiopian authorities as Antika Suleiman Qizi, is captured with another 4 kilograms of Cocaine. She flew from Moscow to Addis, and then she checked into a hotel in Addis Ababa, unnamed, and was leaving the same day to Bangkok, Thailand.
That makes the total amount of Cocaine seized seized in Ethiopia this week to 11.4 kilograms.
