Ethiopian Attorney General claims that it has established Defense Chief of Staff was killing was coordinated by Brigadier General Assaminew Tsige, and came as part of an attempted coup d’etat

Ethiopian attorney General said that it has established that Defense Chief of staff, Seare Mekonnen, and three top Amhara regional state officials were killed as part of the attempted coup d’etat , government claims, organized by Brigadier General Asaminew Tsige.
Federal and regional government authorities have been claiming since the aftermath of the killing on June 22 that it was an attempted coup d’état coordinated and led by Brigadier General Asaminew Tsige who was killed the next day.
On Wednesday, November 13, 2019, the Federal Attorney general, Berhanu Tsegaye, held a press conference and he said that the attack in Bahir Dar and Addis Ababa on June 22 was a coup d’état attempt led by Asaminew Tsige.
The killings were carried out by Asaminew Tsige’s colleagues who were given a mission, claimed the statement by the attorney general.
Government said 15 people were killed and 20 others were hurt as a result of the coup attempt.
The assassination of former Ethiopian Defense Force chief of staff, General Seare Mekonnen, as part of the coup attempt, said the attorney general. Seare was killed in his residence in the capital Addis Ababa on June 22, 2009 around 3 p.m. in the evening – hours after Ambachew Mekonen, former Amhara region president, and his advisor, Ezez Wasse, were killed. Long time friend of the late Defense Chief of staff, Brigadier General Gezai Abera, was also killed. Government says private Mesafint, who was assigned as a guard for the Chief of Staff, fired the shots that claimed the lives of the Defense chief and his friend.
The statement by the attorney general also claimed that there was a plan to kill Deputy chief of staff of the defense force, General Berhanu Jula, who those who carried out the attack expected, according to the attorney general, to be in the scene shortly following the assassination.
There has been preparation to undertake the coup since April 2019, the statement said.

It is now established based on technical and documentary evidence that they have committed a crime against constitutional order and government,” the attorney general added.
Attorney General Berhanu Tsegaye says his office is preparing to lay charges against 78 suspects. 55 of the suspects will be charged in Bahir Dar, the seat of Amhara regional state, and the remaining 23 will be charged in Addis Ababa. And they will be charged as early as this week.
Asked if some of the arrests were politically motivated, Berhanu said “It is not a fiction that we have presented here…There is no one who is arrested because of political organization membership or any other view. The arrest is because of a crime that is committed. There could be a journalist involved in the crime. A political leader, a civil servant, a soldier or police”

What a shameless liar. This same guy was a deputy during the TPLF era. He does generate an exaggeratied report to incriminate his ex board of TPLF as reported while he never charges ODP criminals that we’re doing the same crime a TPLF one nor ADP criminals and now he is not even ashamed to come with another twist to the truth because he got unmasked a few days ago by wrongly jailed activists. If ODP and other high ranking ADP traitors did not do the so called Anhara coup they would not need an obscure and ilegal anti-terrorism pseudo law and they would also invite independent investigation into it. They have framed B/G Asaminew for their crimes period. Every one who knows about body language and facial expression would quickly conclude all the televised interviews given after the asesination even by some of high ranking ADP officials are fake and void of emotions. Needless to mention about the ODP ones. The killings was of selfish hodams against those who really loved their country and B/G Asaminew was in the right side of history. These shameless attorney general if you can call him that give done nothing for the numbers of ethnic and religious based killlings that have been occuring a cross the country. Nothing he has done to bring to justice to those perpetrators or the the perpetrators of the Gedeo mass biblical exodus. He and his PM and all those ODP, TPLF and ADP gangsters are the ones that should be standing trial.
The whole interview is contradictory., insonsitent, not making any sense.and if one reads between lines self incriminating to the federal government itself and ADP members who betrayed their own colleges. I am inclined to believe the murdered ones are the ones who were reclutant to sacrifice B/G Asaminew or either they were betraying him. How the heck one then can understand that people would do c a coup with 15 Ak and 4 pistols then? And about the drama that happen in Addis was because probably General Aware was against the fedds/OPD/TPLF operation to neutralize B/G Asaminew or the military involment on it. Perphas his window can some day give lights on the subject. And as rumurs say General Jula at that moment not only was well protected but dispatching protection to terrorist Jawar. Only the incredulous would believe today’s presented version of events. It is strange that few days before the event the PM was in Tigray complaiing about B/G Asaminew and the Amhara special forces that and the week of internet blackout by the feds before the event actually tells who did prepare and execute those crimes. I guess General Aware was obstacle for what OPD/ADP/TPLF hidams were planning to carry out.
Kemise , Ataye and Debre Berhan massacare victims families are still waiting for justice with Mr Prosecutor being so busy with more important duties than trying to find out who failed to provide the victims their human right for expecting protection from their government..
It is unbelievable, one can even tell the leaders (the vicitms killed by Odp/Tplf/Shabi/Olf) in Amara region don’t even look like killers, they were working hard innocently.
