It is now official that the ruling coalition, Ethiopian People’s Revolutionary Democratic Front (EPRDF) is moving in the direction of ending distinct existence of coalition members in the umbrella organization and form a single entity.
Whether that involves re-branding of the party and its ideological view remains to be seen.
What is clear at this point is that the situation seem to be a move in the right direction as far as political entities that the ruling coalition calls partners; these are political organization that are part of the governance structure at regional levels but were not privileged to have votes and membership in the central committee of the ruling coalition.
