On Tuesday, October 8, 2019, Bahir Dar experienced minor clashes between protestors and the region’s security forces.
Protestors were demanding the release of Brigadier General Tefera Mamo, Colonel Alebel Amare and others who are detained in connection with the June 22 incident that claimed the lives of the region’s president Ambachew Mekonnen and his advisor, Ezez Wasse, and the region’s attorney general – Migbaru Kebede.
