Former president of Zimbabwe, Robert Mugabe, passed away at the age of 95.
He had been in hospital in Singapore since April of this year.
Robert Mugabe was a liberation fighter and led Zimbabwe to independence, and has led the country for over 37 years until 2017 when he was replaced by his former vice president Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa.
President Mnangagwa tweeted on Friday :
It is with the utmost sadness that I announce the passing on of Zimbabwe’s founding father and former President, Cde Robert Mugabe … Cde Mugabe was an icon of liberation, a pan-Africanist who dedicated his life to the emancipation and empowerment of his people. His contribution to the history of our nation and continent will never be forgotten. May his soul rest in eternal peace

Robert Mugabe is replaced by his hit man and Zimbabwe will keep on going the African Way. Cry, My Beloved Country, so said Alen Paiton.
Let me narrate a story. I SWEAR IT IS TRUE.
* An African asked a good friend, who happened to be White, a sensitive question
* In your country, what do you think of the African.[Note: it was part of a long conversation]
* The friend was not willing to answer the dynamite question, for obvious reason.
* But the African friend insisted and promised that it will not affect their friendship.
* Still the White friend hesitated. And the Black friend persisted.
* Here is the answer in a feeble voice, and bending down head: “we say that the African has been under the sun for too long, affecting his brain cell” THE END
