Ethiopia’s giant state-owned telecommunication company, Ethio Telecom, is implementing a three years strategic plan since July of this year, Ethiopian News Agency (ENA)reported last week.
The plan is developed in accordance with the Ethiopian government’s reform direction, and it is intended to make Ethiotelecom lead the business “with a competitive mindset,” Frehiwot Tamiru, CEO, has told journalists during briefing.
“To ensure competitiveness and sustainable growth of the company, the strategy has been developed by considering and reviewing relevant government policies, international best practices, and industry trends as well,” reported ENA.
EthioTelecom also plans for better service quality, accessibility, and service expansion in the capital Addis Ababa and regions during the current Ethiopian fiscal year.
