TIRET a conglomerate rung by Amhara regional state is privatizing ten of its companies reported state-affiliated Fana Broadcasting Corporation (FBC).
Some of them will be transferred to the private sector on the basis of selling shares while others will be entirely privatized, according to Deputy CEO of TIRET, Abate Sitotaw, who is cited by FBC.
He reportedly encouraged investors in the region to actively participate in the process to benefit themselves and people in the region.
TIRET was established over two decades ago with an initial capital of 20 million Ethiopian Birr and currently has over 12 thousand permanent and temporary employees.
TIRET is engaged in transportation, textile manufacturing, and agricultural products processing, among other things.
