U.S. Embassy Opens Application for 2019 EducationUSA Scholars Program

The Public Affairs Section (PAS) of the U.S. Embassy Addis Ababa seeks to identify 30 high achieving Ethiopian students, to join the Education USA Scholars Program (ESP). Selected Scholars will receive support in navigating the admissions process for U.S. colleges and universities As part of U.S. efforts to support the development of highly-skilled and well-educated leaders to build Ethiopia’s future. 12 slots will be reserved for high-achieving economically disadvantaged students, who will receive additional financial support as part to the Opportunity Fund Program.

ESP works with students through regularly scheduled training sessions to assist them throughout the application process to study in the U.S. and, apply for financial aid when needed. The intensive four-week program will be held in July 2019, and includes preparation for required standardized tests. It also includes academic counseling and coaching for essay writing.

The program requires students to meet five days per week at the U.S. Embassy with the goal of students applying to U.S. universities for the 2020 Fall semester.

  2. Cost of residences are going through the roof in Ethiopia. People do anything , say anything and please anyone just to have a roof over their heads.Nowadays the love for a place to live is greater than anyother love people have.
