Arne M. Sorenson, Marriott International CEO, met with Ethiopian President Sahlework Zewde in Addis Ababa on Friday, reported state broadcaster EBC.
The American multinational, through its CEO, has expressed interest in partnering with Ethiopia in the effort to expand and promote the tourism sector in the country.
Mr. Arne reportedly said that customer service in the hotel industry is growing in Ethiopia and there are works that need to be done in that regard, and that his company is ready to work with relevant Ethiopian authority.
Sahlework expressed gratitude for the initiative that Marriott International is showing and ensure necessary government support for the success of the work.
