Although Ethiopian Airlines is grief-stricken due to plane crash on Sunday from which no survivor was found, the airlines is doing its best to handle its day to day business and its clients’ confidence in the airline seem to be intact.

CEO of Ethiopian Airlines, Tewolde Gebremariam spoke to local journalists on Tuesday regarding the situation at Ethiopian Airlines.

While he admitted that grounding four Boeing 737 Max 8 has an economic impact, safety is a priority at all times and the decision to ground the planes is meant to be an extra-safety measure.

The CEO also told journalists that while Ethiopian Airlines is caring for families and relatives of victims of the plane crash on Sunday, it is also serving its clients without canceling flights.

The airlines had 33 scheduled flights for the day and they are being carried out as planned and the airport is still full of passengers.

The plane crash on Sunday has nothing to do with the safety record of the airline, he told the journalists.
