Amharic Service of Voice of America spoke to Derartu Tulu, Olympic Gold medalist-currently acting president of Ethiopian Athletics Federation. She will be running 10K after many years and she will ran the last 500 meters barefoot to honour the victory of Adwa. She is popular for her Ethiopian patriotism.
“We have to maintain the unity of our country,” says Derartu Tulu. Her interview below is in Amharic.
