Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed met with the founder of Mo Ibrahim Foundation, Dr. Mohammed Ibrahim, today in his office.
They reportedly hold discussion on governance and democracy in Africa and related challenges in Ethiopia. The issue of creating employment opportunity for youths in the country was another agenda discussed in the office of the prime minister, where the two met.
As well, they have discussed Ethiopian economy and politics including the effort to broaden the democratic space in Ethiopia.
According to a report by EBC, Mo Ibrahim remarked that Ethiopia is a big country and its people need to avoid division, and help unite Africa.
Mo Ibrahim is a Sudanese-British billionaire who made his fortune from the telecommunication sector.
His foundation was established in 2006 to award African leaders who are considered successful in terms of bringing good governance and democracy to their country.
