Abiy Ahmed’s response on alleged ethnic attack on Tigray

Activist, and many TPLF politicians alike, have been alleged that government measures on suspects of crimes like organized theft, corruption and human right abuse are rather targeting Tigreans in the name of fighting corruption.

Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed addressed the issue today during a meeting with opposition party leaders( including from Tigray region.)

The motive of crackdown on, says government, is to deter law enforcement bodies, including police and intelligence unit, from committing similar crimes in the future and encourage them to carry out their duties with a sense of responsibility, obviously apart from ensuring rule of law and justice in the country.
