Three Federal police reportedly killed after shooting in Bole, Addis Ababa

At least three Federal Police members are reported killed after shooting out in Bole area of Addis Ababa, Fana Broadcasting Corporate reported today. As per the report the incident happened in Wollo Sefer.

Fana reported it as follows:

    “A member of Federal Police launched an attack on his colleagues under the influence of alcohol in Bole District, Wollo sefer area.”

Federal Police Commissioner Zeinu Jemal is cited as saying that police killed member of the federal police who launched an attacked and killed two of his colleagues, and that normalcy is restored to the area.

On the other hand, a report by Ethiopian Reporter, a local news paper which is said to have insider information due to political connection in the government, reported the incident a little differently which translates to “there has been an exchange of fire all night long near Federal parliamentarians’ residence in Bole. The source also added that the road leading to Bole from Meskel Square was closed for a long time but is now opened again.
