When one of the pioneers of Commercial Bank of Ethiopia,Taffara Deguefé, visited his hometown Ankober after 40 years and asked residents what they would like him to do for them, all that residents of the rural town asked him was to renovate the aluminum sheet of the church as it was leaking during the rainy season. He noted it in his The Globe and Mail Bestselling book, Minutes of an Ethiopian Century
Despite all the challenges of the time we are living in, most of it emanated from bad governance, Ethiopians in rural Ethiopia do still have a strong attachment to God and their faith. And these humble Ethiopians are the very people who have been targets of hatred due to manufactured ethnic political propaganda as neftegna. Watch their Timkat celebration from this years.
