The video ,apparently, captured Addis Ababa at the time of formation of Organization of African Union in the 1960’s. Emperor Haile Selassie was a key player in the formation of Organization of African Unity, now African Union. Due to apparent sabotage by the current regime in Ethiopia, his statue does not even appear in the African Union and issue was raised by Ethiopians in a number of occasions.

Apart from the city, the video also give a snapshot of society, culture,politics and what not in Addis Ababa and elsewhere in Ethiopia.
