The pastor was sentence to death after prosecutor presented compelling evidence, apparently circumstantial, to Justice Lateefat Okunu.
“Jesus have mercy,” shouted pastor Akolade Arowolo ,quoted as saying by News24.
The pastor killed his wife in their wife. He apparently denied killing her claiming that she was possessed by evil spirit and stabbed herself to death.
Among evidences considered during the proceeding is forensic evidence. “Testimony in the form of a forensic report from Prof. John Oladapo Obafunwa, a pathologist, was what the court used to determine that there was no way the deceased could have stabbed herself to death,” wrote News24.
From the autopsy report presented by the Professor Obafunwa, the pastor seem to have stabbed his wife seventy six times. Not clear if the sentence is already executed.
The crime was committed, apparently, sometime before 2014.
