German chancellor Angela Merkel took a glance at Ethiopian protesters from her office in Bundeskanzleramt.
As in elsewhere, Ethiopians in Germany protested against killings of civilians in Ethiopia the the ruling junta. Protesters’number was not that high, compared to Ethiopian protesters in North American cities, but it was well organized.
Beating big drum and chanting slogans loud nearby the chancellors office was apparently good enough to make German’s most popular stateswomen want to see as to what was going on.
At this point in time, Ethiopians living outside of their country are doing every thing they can to leverage powerful actors, mainly partners to the regime in Ethiopia, to spot killings of civilians in Ethiopia.
