Ethiopians arrested in Saudi Arabia for alleged liquor trade -GDN

Gulf Digital News– Bahrain based online news provider – reported that Saudi Arabian authorities busted clandestine liquor production in Asir province of Saudi Arabia.

Citing Arabic Daily News Paper , Okaz, as a source, GDN added that 13 barrels of wine and 270 bottles of home made liquor was uncovered following police raid.

Three Ethiopians are apparently arrested in relation to the development.

The report also indicates that another Ethiopian is arrested in the province of Uhud Rafida in Asir province for alleged possession of machine gun with some ammunition.

Although some Ethiopian migrants in Saudi Arabia have been reportedly involved in illegal activity related to alcohol, many innocent Ethiopians in Saudi Arabia are harassed and abused indiscriminately.

In 2014, Ethiopian migrants were brutally killed in Saudi.
