Ethiopian protestors,who were opposing planned Obama trip to Ethiopia in Washington yesterday, heckled and abused VOA Amharic journalist – Henok Semaegzier.
Protestors accuse the journalist of plunging into deeper that the unethical practice of partiality in his news coverage on Ethiopia. Many think that he is working for the government of Ethiopia under the cover of VOA Amharic service.
Ethiopian government is known for its repeated repressive crackdown on the free press in Ethiopia and many journalists are thrown to jail on alleged charges of “terrorism” simply because the government made the business of practicing journalism more like an adventurous thing due to the atmosphere of fear it created.
