Kuwait is reportedly to fund a $22 million water project in Aksum, Tigray – reported Construction Week Online
The report, which cited Saudi Press Agency as a source, indicates that the fund is in the form of loan to finance a sustainable water project.
Dam construction is part of the project and when completed, the project will have water treatment plant and pumps among other things.
According to the report, Kuwait government is funding four other projects in Ethiopia and the total funding is said to be about $110 million
However, the report did not give a clue regarding repayment arrangements by the government of Ethiopia.
