At least 90 Ethiopians are stranded in Libya and some are reportedly taken by the radical militant ISIS group. There are children and pregnant women in the hide out ordeal against the hunt by the ISIS.

It should be mentioned that those who were interviewed by VOA Amharic overtly stated that they are not getting help from the Ethiopian government although they are calling the Ethiopian Embassy in Egypt – as per the advise from the ministry of foreign affairs of Ethiopia.
It seems the case that Ethiopians in Libya hope to get help from Ethiopian Communities in Europe and North America rather than the Ethiopian government.
It remains to be seen if Ethiopian communities in the diaspora rise to the challenge and do something helpful to the stranded refugees in Libya.
About 30 Ethiopians Christians were beheaded and shot dead by ISIS militants last week.
