Singapore appoints new envoy to Ethiopia

SINGAPORE – The Singapore Government has appointed Mr T Jasudasen as Singapore’s non-resident ambassador to the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, said the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.

Mr Jasudasen is Singapore’s current non-resident ambassador to the African Union.

The 62-year-old first joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1977. He was the High Commissioner to Britain, with concurrent accreditation to Iceland and Ireland, from August 2011 to August 2014, and to Malaysia from June 2006 to July 2011.

He also served as ambassador to the Union of Myanmar from November 2004 to May 2006, and to the French Republic, with concurrent accreditation to Portugal, Spain and Israel, from July 1997 to September 2004.
