HAVANA, Cuba, (acn) Colombia´s Revolutionary Armed Forces-Peoples´ Army (FARC-EP) said in Havana that after the release of General Ruben Dario Alzate trust must prevail between the parties in the framework of the peace dialog underway in the Cuban capital.

Guerrilla delegate Jesus Santrich said that everything is ready to meet the accord leading to the release of the high-ranking military officer and added that they expect that trust will again be reestablished at the bargaining table next week, according to Telesur TV.

“We now have to sit and reestablish the working rules and trust. We have to sort this out and have President Santos´ word that raises trust in the guerrilla to keep advancing,” said Santrich.

Colombia´s Juan Manuel Santos said on Wednesday that the general would be released on Saturday, November 29 and he added that he had already ordered the suspension of military operations to secure the release of the officer and two companions.
