
Sources in Djibouti say there was a shoot out in Djibouti airport on Monday afternoon at a time when President Ismail Omar Gelleh was returning to the country and was landing at the airport.
However different reports emerged regarding how the shoot out was and the purpose. Najib Ali Dahir who is the adviser of President Gelleh said the president left the airport only about ten minutes before the shoot out. He said one of the bodyguards of the president opened fire injuring two persons including one person who is among the presidential health personnel.
Now, the situation is calm at the airport. The soldier who opened the fire was apprehended and investigations are said to be under way.
