(borkena) Companies from Middle Eastern Countries are said to have ownership of about 179 projects in Ethiopia which is reportedly worth over $1 billion, according to World Bulletin.
The investment is in areas of real estate and machinery, agriculture and manufacturing. The source added that 80 percent of the investment is in manufacturing.
Biggest FDI, from the region, reportedly comes from Saudi Arabia. Egypt and Yemen have also strong business presence in Ethiopia.
