(borkena)Brazil narrowly survived Chile to qualify for the last eight teams in the 2014 World Cup.

Very eventful first half match was finished only a score line of 1-1, a score line that was not changed even after extra 30 minutes after the second half of the match.

Brazil had more ball possession but Chile Defense line was simply impenetrable. Claudio Bravo, Chilean goal keeper, made saved shots during the match.

It took a penalty shoot out to determine the team qualifying for the last 8 groups of the world cup 2014. And luck was on the side of the Brazilians. From the Brazilian side, William and HulK did not score in their penalty kicks. Willian send the ball wide. Hulk’s kick was saved by Bravo. Yet, Chilean penalty kickers missed more. The star player Sanchez who scored the equalizing goal, the substitute Pinilla who about to seal the game with a 2-1 win for Chile in the last minute of the extra time and Jara who put up a wonderful performance during the match missed their penalty kicks. Jara ‘s kick never looked as if it is not scored ;it hit the goal stand.

Again, luck was on the side of the host, Brazil. Brazil won the penalty shout out 3-2.

Absolutely, stunning performance by Chileans!
